Oculus Rift price cut to £399 for good

Oculus also unveils Oculus Rift for Business bundle

In addition to announcing a brand-new standalone VR headset in the form of the Oculus Go, Oculus also announced yet another permanent price cut for its regular Rift headset. 

After its successful Summer of Rift program, where it dropped the price temporarily to £399 for six weeks, the Rift will now stay at that price permanently. That includes a pair of Touch controllers, too, as well as six free apps including Epic's critically acclaimed Robo Recall and creative tools Medium and Quill. 

"This new permanent price opens up PC VR to the widest audience yet. And more people in VR means more people to play, connect, and share with, whether you’re diving into groundbreaking new first-person shooters like ARKTIKA.1 or exploring the depths of space in the award-winning Echo franchise," Oculus wrote on its blog

"Rift is here to stay with years of amazing content on the horizon. We can’t wait for you see what else we have in store, from innovative new software features to compelling content and blockbuster IPs."

Oculus also announced an Oculus for Business bundle yesterday, which will include a Rift headset, Touch controllers, three sensors and three face sponges, as well as dedicated customer support and special extended licenses and warranties to set up the headset. They will be available to order individually for £829.60, or in bulk.
