GT Academy India: 2,000 contestants at halfway mark

Over 2,000 aspiring race car drivers have participated in GT Academy India as the qualifiers reach the halfway mark.

Qualifiers have so far taken place in Mumbai and Delhi, with Hyderabad, Delhi and Chennai, as well as online qualifiers via PSN, to follow.

The top four times set so far have all been from Mumbai contestants, with Martin Karkade commanding an almost four-second lead over second-placed Saminder Singh Saan.

GT Academy is an award-winning collaboration between Nissan and Sony PlayStation that seeks out the best Gran Turismo players and trains them to become real-world professional race drivers.
