Nintendo pulls 3DS hack title Cubic Ninja from Japanese eShop

The game at the centre of a 3DS hacking method has been pulled from sale.

Ubisoft platformer Cubic Ninja was only ever released digitally in Japan but Tiny Cartridge reports that Nintendo has now pulled the game from the region's eShop.

MCV last week reported that a new hack for the first time allows homebrew code to be run on Nintendo's console, but either a physical or digital copy of Cubic Ninja is required for the method to work.

The game remains available physically, of course.

One solitary used copy is currently available on Amazon for 44.95 (although there's also a physical Japanese copy for 34.99) while Ebay auctions for the game have been ending for anything between 30-55.
