Xbox One UK price cut following new hardware announcement

UPDATE:Amazon and GAME have cut the price of Xbox One in the UK.

As spotted by Videogamer, the former has bundles starting at 208,99, while the latter is selling them from 229.99. Meanwhile an Xbox One Elite will set consumers back 349.99.

The console’s official page on the Xbox website is yet to be updated with new deals.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Microsoft’s Xbox One has had its second price cut in two weeks in the United States.

The cost of the hardware is now $279 (195.55) for a ‘limited time’. This follows a price cut that saw the console being slashed to $299 at the start of June.

Though there was a similar reduction in the UK in line with the American price cut at the start of the month, this time around it appears that the cost of an Xbox One in the UK has remained the same. An update could well still be announced, though.

This US price cut follows the announcement of the Xbox One S slim model, which launches in August. A 500GB model will set UK consumers back 249, with a 1TB version coming in at 299.

The Xbox One S was revealed at the start of Microsoft’s E3 press briefing, during which the platform holder officially announced Scorpio – its powerful successor to the Xbox One.
