Educational games company Mango Learning launches Kickstarter campaign

Mango Learning has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund its development projects aimed at bringing educational games to mobile devices.

Comprised of game developers and education experts, Mango is looking to raise at least $100,000 through crowd funding.

Mango will use funds from the Kickstarter campaign to create the first set of curriculum-based Mango Math games” leveraging the very best of both Eastern and Western teaching methods”.

The Mango Learning team is led by Bob Collins, former chief instructional officer for the Los Angeles Unified School District, and also includes Gameshastra's Uthsav Ahuja. Prakash Ahuja, CEO of Gameshastra, also serves on Mango's advisory board.

Helping fund Mango's Kickstarter campaign will earn pledgers anything from beta access to a preloaded tablet to a year's worth of games to the chance design your own in-game character, depending on the amount pledged.

At the time of writing, the Mango Learning Kickstarter had raised over $12,000.
