Homefront: The Revolution pushed back to 2016

Deep Silver has confirmed a 2016 release for Homefront: The Revolution, which represents a delay to the title.

The game was announced in June of last year as CryTek developed title published by Deep Silver, due out on PS4, Xbox One and PC in 2015.

The following month, however, the publisher acquired the IP from CryTek and development was handed to Deep Silver Dambuster – which is staffed by the former members of the now closed Crytek UK, which itself was formerly Free Radical.

We are excited that Deep Silver’s acquisition of the Homefront IP and assets from Crytek has allowed development of Homefront: The Revolution to continue with minimum disruption,” Dambuster boss Hasit Zala said. The team here believes we are working on something truly special.”

Deep Silver CEO Klemens Kundratitz added: Dambuster Studios are an extraordinarily talented group. We are giving the team every opportunity to turn Homefront: The Revolution into a best-selling title, and have set a 2016 release date to provide them the time they need to achieve this.”
