No Man’s Sky dev confirms community and support team appointment

A player-facing community team has been installed at No Man's Sky developer Hello Games.

The long-awaited title had a tremendously successful launch but has since been beset by a vocal and at time quite vicious reaction from the community, parts of which feel that the game has failed to live up to its promises.

All parties have denied that Steam relaxed its refund rules for the title, despite the anecdotal evidence. This has not saved it from a negative player assessment on Steam, with a string of scathing reviews – albeit from players who have often sunk dozens of hours into the title.

Another frequent complaint was the perceived lack of communication from Hello -something that these latest changes should help address.

No matter what feedback you gave us, you have been heard and we are listening carefully. Thank you,” Hello Games has said. What matters now, as always, is what we do rather than what we say. We're developers, and our focus is first on resolving any issues people have with the game as it is, then on future free updates which will improve, expand and build on the No Man's Sky universe.

This is a labour of love for us, and it's just the beginning.”

Hello added that it is patching issues in order of priority. A big patch was released for the title last week that addressed a number of technical and gameplay points.
