Dragon Age: Legends developer Bioware San Francisco is reportedly no more.
GamesRadar first pointed to anonymous sources (that were later corroborated by IGN) claiming that the California-based studio was too expensive” for mobile development to maintain.
According to the sources, the studio employed between 25 and 30 staff, with the lot finding themselves out of the job.
BioWare San Francisco had recently lost a handful of employees to industry jobs outside of EA, and one former staffer expressed dissatisfaction with the publisher’s management of the studio.
Previously known as EA2D, BioWare San Francisco focused on social and casual games for web and mobile, including Dragon Age: Legends and Mirror’s Edge.
