Rockstar disappointed with BBFC appeal

Strauss Zelnick, the chairman of Take 2, has expressed his ‘disappointment’ at the BBFC’s recent decision to

challenge the opinion

of the Video Appeals Committee, who recently backed Rockstar in its quest to have the BBFC’s banning of its controversial Manhunt 2 overturned in the UK.

A statement from Zelnick read: "We are disappointed that the BBFC has decided to appeal its own Video Appeals Committee’s judgment in favour of an 18-plus certificate for Manhunt 2.

We believe the VAC decision was correct and do not understand the BBFC’s decision to expend further public resources to censor a game that contains content well within the bounds established by the BBFC’s 18-plus ratings certification."
