Rockstar releases possible Red Dead logo, gets retweeted 100,000 times

Over the weekend Rockstar tweeted a red version of its logo, which sent the internet into meltdown and was retweeted more than 100,000 times.

The logo seems to hint towards a possible Red Dead announcement, with the red background that is stylised in a similar way to many marketing materials for Red Dead Redemption, the last game in the series.

As soon as the logo was tweeted the internet instantly took this as confirmation that Red Dead Redemption 2, or some variation of that, was in development. But while that looks like the most likely suggestion, this could just be Rockstar having a bit of a joke at our expense. It may even turn out to be Bully 2 (it probably won’t.)

The tweet became incredibly popular, and in less than 24 hours it was re tweeted more than 100,000 times, with more than 170,000 favourites.

While Rockstar has, at the time of writing, said precisely nothing about the image or a possible Red Dead announcement, chances are that will change in the coming days or weeks.
