GamesAid charity voting opens as funding hits record high

The voting is now open to select which charities will receive money raised by games industry charity GamesAid.

The official amount of money has yet to be announced, but it will be the biggest year yet for GamesAid fundraising. Last year, the charity raise 260,000 for Action for Kids, Lifelites, Safe@Last and SpecialEffect.

The charities that are up for the vote today are all British-based, with low operation costs and support young people in the UK – all stipulations when it comes to receiving GamesAid money.

GamesAid members are able to vote and it’s free to be a GamesAid member. So sign up here.

This year’s voting opens today and will close at 12 noon on Tuesday, September 9th.
