Key games firms in the running for top mobile content awards

Several games firms have been announced as finalists for this year's ME Awards.

The event, which recognises those working in the mobile sector, brings together mobile content execs to celebrate the industry's achievements over the past year.

Categories this year include Apps, Games, Marketing, Payment & Tech and two Special Recognition Awards for an Outstanding Contribution to Mobile Entertainment and Outstanding Contribution to Mobile Innovation.

Among the industry-wide award categories are five game-focused prizes – Original Game, Licensed Game, Children's Game, Games Publisher and Game Studio – with more than 25 companies in the running.

Among those nominated for this year's Game Publisher accolade are WildTangent, Chillingo, Bossa Studios, DeNA, Gameloft, Rovio Stars, EA and Kabam.

Meanwhile,ZeptoLab,Gameloft,Guerilla Tea Games Limited,One Thumb Mobile,Bossa,Hardlight Studio to Hardlight Studio,Another Place Productions andRovio are in the running for the Game Studio prize.

The awards will take place on Thursday 13th November 2014 at theRoyal Garden Hotel in Kensington, London.
