New God of War teased by Sony Santa Monica

A brand new God of War now looks on course for a reveal at E3 next week.

Developer Sony Santa Monica has tweeted that: The Gods have spoken once again, maybe they are just excited for #E3”.

The presumption is that any new entry would debut on PS4, although of course the game is yet to make its official standalone bow on Vita, although God of War Collection arrived on the handheld last month.

The God of War series debuted on PS2 in 2005, not long before the arrival of PS3 – all of which made the 2007 release of God of War II on PS2 once more all the more surprising.

The game made the move to PSP in 2008 with God of War: Chains of Olympus before finally arriving on PS3 in 2010 in the form of God of War III.
