Agent Alice breaks Wooga download record

Smartphone game maker Wooga has reached new heights with its most recent release Agent Alice.

Games Industry reports that the hidden object title has been downloaded 3m times in just four days and is currently tracking at 800k sales per day.

That beats the numbers of its previous best performer, Jelly Splash, which itself was downloaded one million times in four days.

The company says that the game itself came about as a result of a market research led change of focus that identified affluent, older women as being an underserved by the puzzle market.

"I’m very happy to see the overwhelming success Agent Alice has had since launch. It confirms the high aspirations we had for the game and we love to see that players have embraced the title so quickly," Wooga CEO Jens Begemann said. "It is still early days, but we are confident that with Agent Alice we have added another hit title to our portfolio."

Wooga’s other titles include Diamond Dash, Pearl’s Peril, Bubble Island and Pocket Village.
