Google now allowing Indian devs to offer paid Android apps

It's bizarre that it's taken Google this long, but it is finally now allowing Indian developers to sell paid apps, enable in-app purchases and sell subscriptions on Google Play.

Indian developers can not only now sell paid apps, but also monetise apps that have already been published as free.

Developers can now also set prices for their apps in Indian Rupees as well as receive payouts in local currency. Since the payment system doesn't currently account for Indian taxes, devs will have to make sure they account for their overheads within the price of the app.

Google practices a 30-70 revenue sharing model for income generated on Google Play, with Google keeping 30%, while the developer receives 70% of revenue earned. This also applies to in-app earnings.
