Google Play blocks Postal port due to ‘gratuitous violence’

Running With Scissors has taken umbrage with Google Play’s rejection of a mobile version of Postal, the 1997 title based on mass murders.

The developer says Google turned down the game due to gratuitous violence”, but points to other violent games on its marketplace,Eurogamerreports.

It seems we have hit a bit of a snag,” the studio wrote on its official forum. Unfortunately it appears postal has been rejected from Google Play due to it containing ‘gratuitous violence’. Sadly this means it won’t be welcomed alongside the Grand Theft Auto series, Carmageddon and horde of zombie games on Google Play.”
