Apple is widely expected to be preparing a reveal for its new iPad range later this month.
Invites have been sent out for an event on October 22nd, at which it's likely we'll see both the iPad 5 and the second iteration of the iPad Mini.
Rumours suggest iPad 5 will be given a style makeover to more closely mirror the well-received Mini variant and will possibly also offer a TouchID fingerprint sensor.
The big question about iPad Mini 2 is whether or not it will be the recipient of a shiny new Retina high-resolution display. Common consensus dictates this must be the case, considering the sumptuous screens found in rivals such as the new Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire HDX.
Some outlets, however, are reporting supply problems in Asia that may force Apple to postpone such a move until next year.
New processors and faster thingies are a given in both units, with the iPhone 5S' A7 chip very likely to feature.
