Now FaZe Clan is called out for CSGO gambling dishonesty

More names have been dragged into the swelling saga of illegitimate Counter Strike Global Offensive gambling videos.

A number of members of eSports team FaZe Clan have been called out by HonorTheCall, which was the source behind the original scoop on shamed YouTubers TmarTn and ProSyndicate.

These latest allegations relate to gambling site CSGO Wild, which yesterday announced its intention to cease operations following legal threats be Valve.

Among those found to have promoted the site without declaring their sponsorship payments are Noran ‘FaZe Rain’ Shat. Edits made to the videos in question to ensure they carry the required FTC disclosure were made after the recent controversy, it has been shown. Videos from other FaZe Clan members are yet to be updated.

CSGO Wild has subsequently admitted its ties to FaZe.

I’ve known and been decent friends with FaZe Banks since before he had any sort of following, so I thought it’d be easiest to offer him and the team he managed at the time a deal where they could promote us to get ourselves off the ground,” an official statement read.

I showed him and asked if he’d promote Wild in exchange for cash. He liked the idea of a coin flip and asked his team member FaZe Rain if he was interested. At the time, being able to win skins was a novel idea that had the community excited. After some back-and-forth, we worked out a sponsorship deal. Banks, Rain and a few other team members got paid in return for promotion.

They were paid in cash, skins, and emeralds to be used to bet with on our website.”

The site added that it has never altered game results”.

Twitch this week pulled the channel of popular streamer PhantomL0rd over his involvement in CSGO gambling.
