Syfy renews Defiance for third season

Trion and Syfy’s TV and gaming crossover experiment Defiance will get a third season, the television network has announced.

Episodes for the upcoming season will begin airing weekly later this year, according to Syfy. In the meantime, Trion is prepping a new major update for the accompanying free-to-play PC title.

The Aftermath update includes seven new missions taking place in and about the Paradise and Silicon Valley areas and containing four new monster types. The update also adds a misson replay feature that allows players to go back and play missions from Defiance’s second season.

No release date for the new content was mentioned, but Trion stated to expect it out sometime soon."
