The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and Sunless Sea are coming to iOS

Two beloved indie creations are finally getting the mobile treatment. One of them is Edward McMillen's The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, which has finally landed on iOS yesterday. The Nicalis-published title is priced at 10.99, but doesn't include expansions Afterbirth (which launched in late 2015) or Afterbirth+ (which released earlier this January).

The title, which is based on the creator's childhood, was initially rejected by Apple in February last year over child violence concerns. Apple claimed that The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth contained content or features that depict violence towards, or abuse of, children, which is not allowed on the App.”

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth initially released on PS4, PC and Vita in 2014 and was also blocked on Nintendo platforms later that year. It finally launched on Wii U, 3DS and Wii U in July 2015.

McMillen's popular game is not the only fan-favourite title to hit iOS though, as Failbetter Games' Sunless Sea will also land on iPad later this year. The exact launch date has not been revealed yet - the studio only said it will come ‘this Spring'. The critically-acclaimed Kickstarted PC RPG became a full release on Steam in 2015. An expansion, called Zubmariner, launched last October.

There's no word of Android versions for The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth or Sunless Sea yet.
