Notch – the man behind indie juggarnaut Minecraft – has purchased the most expensive house ever in Beverly Hills.
35-year-old Markus ‘Notch’ Persson dropped $70 million on the mansion, which includes a 54-foot glass door (that opens automatically), infinity pool, multiple bars, screening room and water fountains controlled via iPad.
As well as this, eight bedrooms, 15 bathrooms and several cases of Dom Perignon are included.
The property is found in the Trousdale Estates area of Beverly Hills, and stretches over 23,000 square feet of land.
Notch closed the deal for the house in just six days – a time residental brokerage John Aaroe Group described as ‘lightning fast’.
Following his move into the house, Notch tweeted a picture of himself in the so-called ‘candy room’ (see below), before replying to another tweet by saying the experience was "so weird".
"All of this is so weird," he added. "I feel so lucky and out of my element, but I thought I should give it a shot."
