MTN DEW has partnered with ESL and ESEA to create the Mountain Dew League, an amateur CS:GO competition that offers qualification to the ESL Pro League.
The competition will start with the Mountain Dew Last Chance Qualifier, which will see more than 7,400 amateur players compete in ranked matchmaking on August 27th and 28th. The top 24 teams from this competition will qualify for the Mountain Dew League, which will run for eight weeks, until the top eight teams have been decided. These eight teams will then play in the Mountain Dew Championship in December, with one team from Europe and one team from North America securing a spot in the next season of the ESL Pro League.

The announcement comes just a day after ECS revealed similar plansfor its next season, meaning amateur CS:GO teams have more chances than ever to break into the top tier events.
