StarCraft Universe MMO launches Kickstarter campaign

Upheavl Arts’ Blizzard-approved StarCraft Universe MMO mod has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter.

Set in an alternate version of Blizzard’s canon material, StarCraft Universe (originally dubbed World of StarCraft0 turns StarCraft II into a fully-featured MMO title with focuses on multiplayer raiding experiences and action-based combat.

The project’sKickstarter page is now live, with the team seeking $80,000 to help make the game free-to-play (no StarCraft license required) and playable via Battle.net.

Stretch goals include making the Zerg a playable race, creating a MOBA-style PvP component, adding new story acts and many other additional proposed features.

At time of writing, the Kickstarer effort has brought in $7,400 with 29 days remaining.
