Team Secret signs KheZu

Maurice "KheZu" Gutmann has left Escape Gaming to join Team Secret after both teams failed to qualify for the Boston Major.

KheZu will replace Lee ‘Forev’ Sang-don as Secret’s offlaner, and will make his debut for the team at the upcoming ASUS ROG Masters event due to kick off later this week.

The new Secret roster features Pyo ‘MP’ No-a, Yeik ‘MidOne’ Nai Zheng, Maurice ‘KheZu’ Gutmann, Clement ‘Puppey’ Ivanov and Johan ‘pieliedie’ Astrom.

Over the past year or so KheZu has been playing with Troels SyndereN” Nielsen and the teams he has put together. Their biggest success was qualifying for The International 6 earlier this year under the Escape Gaming name. Since TI6 Escape have looked incredibly strong, qualifying for the LAN portion of DreamLeage. However they failed to qualify for the Boston Major after being invited to the stacked European qualifier.

Team Secret also failed to qualify for the Boston Major, with the SEA dominated team looking less like the Secret we have seen over the past few years. While Escape didn’t necessarily need to make a change it did seem like Secret needed something new. By singing one of the most talented up and coming offlaners in the world Secret should be back to winning ways soon.

Escape Gaming is yet to announce a replacement, although they have been playing with Kalle "Trixi" Saarinen as a stand in for the last few days.
