Lucid Games rises from Bizarre ashes

Former staff members of recently defunct developer Bizarre Creations have established a new Liverpool-based studio named Lucid Games.

Formed by ‘senior management and experienced industry professionals’, Lucid is already undertaking a recruitment drive the seeks to create some 50 jobs. The existing team members are also presently in talks with several publishers regarding potential projects.

"With the great history of Bizarre behind us, we are proud to be part of Lucid and are committed to the UK game development community," said Pete Wallace, managing director of the studio.

We plan to build a studio which encourages open communication with its partners, customers and other developers."
