Mobile title Assassin’s Creed Identity launches this month

There’s another Assassin’s Creed game coming to mobile devices.

Ubisoft is launching Assassin’s Creed: Identity onto the App Store on February 25th. The title is taking place during the Italian Renaissance with players charged with discovering the ‘Mystery of The Crows’. Players are able to customise their Assassin characters and can choose from four different classes.

The publisher also says that the mobile title uses the Unity engine, and was developed by Blue Byte. So far the title is only available on iOS devices, and has a UK price tag of 3.99.

Though the mainline Assassin’s Creed series might be taking a break this year, there are some other titles in the franchise hitting stores. As well as Identity, digital 2.5D platformer Assassin’s Creed Chronicles is being released at physical retail next week.

Identity isn’t the first Assassin’s Creed title to hit mobile devices. In 2008, Assassin’s Creed: Altair’s Chronicles launched on a variety of mobile device. Just the next year, Assassin’s Creed II: Discovery came to iOS.

Then in 2013, Ubisoft Paris’ Assassin’s Creed: Pirates launched, and 2014 saw the release of Assassin’s Creed Memories for iOS.
