Sony has announced that cumulative sell through” of the PS4 has, as of January 3rd, reached 35.9m units.
That follows unit sales of 5.7m units worldwide during the 2015 holiday season” which, presumably, represents the period from November 22nd to January 3rd.
Worldwide digital and retail software sales have now hit 35m units, while PlayStation Plus subscriber numbers jumped a massive 60 per cent year-on-year throughout 2015.

The last Xbox One sales update dates back to November 2014, when the total number of consoles shipped stood at 10m. Microsoft said in October that it no longer intends to report hardware sales numbers.
