Real Farm gets gameplay trailer and release date for PC and consoles

Publisher Soedesco has just announced that its new IP Real Farm will be released on the 20th of October. That date is for both digital and physical releases across PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The farm simulation title is developed by Triangle Studios. It’s the publisher’s third ‘home-grown’ IP and it’s hoping that it will both appeal to the core farming simulation market, as well as a broader market. To this end the game has two distinct game modes, the Free mode, where you can get stuck straight into full farm ownership, and the Career mode, where you have to work up to that via contractor jobs on other farms.

The announcement came alongside the release of a new trailer, showing sun-drenched in-game footage of some impressive assets, though there’s no showing of the interface or mechanics here yet.

Updates for fancier-looking PS4 Pro and Xbox One X versions will be coming soon after release, and a Nintendo Switch version of the title is planned as well.

We noticed a lot of interest in the farming simulation genre, but we feel nobody’s really bringing anything new to the table," Soedesco’s executive manager Hans van Brakel said.

"With Real Farm Sim, we want to improve the farming simulation experience with new-gen game mechanics and new-gen graphics. The game is called Real Farm Sim for a reason: it gives players the real farming experience.”
