Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 on track for pre-Christmas last-gen release

It looks as if the PS3 version of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 will arrive in time for Christmas.

Videogamer reports on word from the US PlayStation Blogcast that the PS3 iteration of the game is due for release in the US both digitally and physically next week (Tuesday December 15th).

Whether or not that points to a UK digital release on the same day, and indeed a digital release on the Friday, remains to be seen – as does the possibility of an Xbox 360 release at the same time.

The PS3 and 360 versions of the game were due to release alongside the next-gen SKUs but were pushed back at the end of October.

The game itself, of course, has endured a pretty torrid release in its own right. As well as undergoing some pretty significant changes in the immediate run-up to its release, it also arrived in a bug-riddled state. Activision also had to contend with accusations that half the game was missing on the boxed physical release.

The PS4 version has a Metacritic score of 32 per cent and has also fared poorly with users.
