VIDEO: Call of Duty Black Ops III’s live-action launch trailer arrives

It’s Call of Duty week! And in keeping with tradition, Activision has released its live-action launch trailer.

It stars Michael B. Jordan (Creed, Fantastic Four, Fruitvale Station) and Cara Delevingne (Suicide Squad, Paper Towns, Valerian), along with American footballer Marshawn Lynch of the Seattle Seahawks.

Director Wayne McClammy tried to shoot as much of the action as possible live, cutting down on the computer effects and enlisting the help of stunt coordinator Darrin Prescott. The video was shot across five days in an abandoned Californian shopping mall.

The Black Ops series is beloved by millions of fans, who have continued to make it the most played series in Call of Duty,” Activision publishing CMO Tim Ellis said. This year, the high-profile release of Black Ops III is a pop culture moment for fans to come together and celebrate around the globe.

Seize Glory captures that feeling of exhilaration and accomplishment in which anyone can go on an amazing run and become his or her own champion in Call of Duty. This campaign celebrates our community and the unforgettable gameplay moments they’ll experience in Black Ops III.”

Call of Duty: Black Ops II will be released worldwide on November 6th – the first time a COD game has had a global launch on a Friday.
