VIDEO: The games press looks back on Street Fighter’s legacy

Ahead of next week’s release of Street Fighter V, the games press has taken a moment to look back at the very rich history of one of gaming’s most treasured brands.

This year is the 25th anniversary of Street Fighter II, don’t you know. And that means that, for those of us who have been around a while, Street Fighter ranks alongside the likes of Mario and Sonic in featuring pretty prominently throughout a decent chunk of our lives.

In the video below we see Simon Miller (Videogamer), Julia Hardy (broadcaster), Mike Diver (Vice), Dan Maher (Explosive Alan), Rupert Higham (The Guardian), Guy Cocker (Stuff) and Ben Parfitt (MCV, and yes, that’s me) reminiscing about their experiences with the series. And betraying their true ages.
