Visceral ‘forging ahead’ with mysterious Star Wars game

Motive Studios and Visceral Games GM Jade Raymond has assured fans that work continues on EA’s mystery Star Wars game.

The team at Visceral Games is forging ahead into an exciting phase of development,” Raymond stated. Seeing Amy Hennig lead this team through the creative process has been incredible. She is a rare breed of storyteller, and she’s collaborating with the creative leaders at Lucasfilm to tell a new, authentic Star Wars story. Backed by the talented Visceral team, Amy and studio GM Scott Probst are taking this project in groundbreaking directions.

Of course, there’s a lot more to the story with each of these projects in our EA Star Wars portfolio, and we’ll be super excited to share more updates in the months ahead.”

As well as the Star Wars game, Raymond added that Motive has its own IP in the works, and is hiring in more talent as a result.

Visceral’s Star Wars game, which was likened by voice actor Nolan North to the dark themes found in LucasArts’ cancelled Star Wars 1313, is not the only Star Wars project on the go at EA. As well as Star Wars: Battlefront 2, it was recently revealed that Titanfall developer Respawn is making a third person action adventure title set in the universe.

Raymond joined EA last summer. Amy Hennig joined the company a year earlier.
