War Child charity games bundle arrives next month on Steam

A collection of new games from some of Europe's biggest studios will launch next month, with all profits going to War Child.

Published by Sega, Help: The Game will launch on Steam from July 26th for 9.99.

The title features new games from Team17, Rovio, Spilt Milk Studios, Sports Interactive, Hardlight, Modern Dream, Sumo Digital, Curve Digital, Creative Assembly, Bossa studios and Torn Banner - those are studios behind hits such as Forza Horizon, Worms, Angry Birds, Football Manager, Sonic and Total War.

The title was first announced in September 2015, and is a global game jam that saw 11 studios create original games in just six days.

War Child is a global charity that helps children affected by conflicts around the world. Check out the video below.

Sports Interactive studio director, and War Child supporter, Miles Jacobson said:When we first revealed the plans for HELP: THE GAME we were cautiously optimistic that it would generate some interest throughout the games business, but the level of enthusiasm that came back to us exceeded our expectations. Having seen the results of those jams that have been completed to date, it's obvious that the studios who've taken part have been having a lot of fun – and from July 26 it will be the gamers' turn.”

War Child UK CEO Rob Williams (OBE) added: It's fitting that the games business has taken this project to its heart as, after all, every child should have the right to play but not all get that chance. We're extremely grateful to everyone who has agreed to get involved and we hope their efforts will not only raise much-needed funds, but also awareness of our work amongst a vast audience of gamers across the globe.”
