Argos trials first Minute-Past-Midnight delivery for Xbox One X

Argos has announced a UK-first Fast Track delivery trial that guarantees its customers will be the first in the country to receive Microsoft’s Xbox One X. The ambitiously-named Minute-Past-Minute delivery option will be trialled across London Zones 1-5 and promises that customers will receive the console on their doorstep just 60 seconds after midnight on launch day November 7th.

Customers living in London Zones 1-5 can sign up for the special Fast Track delivery trial by visiting Argos’ Twitter page tomorrow morning (Wednesday 25th) for details on how to apply and get involved. There are, naturally, limited pre-order slots available, so you’ll need to be quick if you want to take advantage of it.

Of course, those who haven’t already pre-ordered the console and miss out on the Minute-Past-Midnight delivery will still be able to buy the Xbox One X through Argos’ existing Fast Track delivery service shortly after its launch, which offers same-day delivery in as little as four hours provided customers order by 6pm. Argos’ Fast Track delivery service covers over 90 per cent of the UK and costs £3.95.

Darren Frost, Fast Track Delivery Lead at Argos, said: “The launch of the Xbox One X is a momentous occasion in the gaming calendar and fans have been waiting patiently in anticipation of its release.  We’re delighted to offer a selected number of our customers the ultimate in convenience, with a delivery right to their doorstep just after midnight – making them the very first in the UK to get their hands on this coveted console.

“Our Fast Track same-day delivery service is already market-leading, offering customers nationwide same-day delivery in just four hours, and we’re excited about getting customer feedback on this latest trial in evolving the service.”

The Xbox One X launches on November 7th and costs £449.99. It’s the fastest-selling Xbox pre-order in Microsoft’s history, but some retailers have told MCV they have concerns over stock levels.
