Call of Duty: WWII takes a 10th No.1 in the UK charts

It was another quiet week at retail, with the usual triple-A titles taking the top spots in the UK charts.

Call of Duty: WWII charted at No.1 for the tenth time since launch in November, despite sales being down 17 per cent week-on-week. If Activision’s title makes it to the top spot next week for an 11th time, it will equal the all-time No.1’s for the series, held by 2015’s Call of Duty: Black Ops III.

After landing at No.1 the week before, GTA V’s sales were down 53 per cent last week as promotions for the title ended. Rockstar’s hit lost two spots to No.3 and FIFA 18 climbed to No.2 with a 27 per cent decline in sales.

Nintendo Switch titles took the rest of the Top 5, with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe gaining one place to No.4 with a slight 6 per cent decrease in sales week-on-week and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild climbing three spots to No.5 with a two per cent increase in sales.

The only new entry in the charts was Bandai Namco’s Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker’s Memory, debuting at No.10.
