The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has managed to keep its top spot in the UK weekly charts again.

Activision's title has been No.1 for three consecutive weeks, with sales only declining 34 per cent week-on-week, and has spent five weeks at No.1 overall. It's the most weeks at the top of the charts for a PS4 exclusive and the most weeks at No.1 for any game so far this year, with GfK adding that almost a third of all titles to reach No.1 in 2017 were only available on Sony's consoles (10 weeks out of 31 weeks.” The lack of new releases last week certainly helped Crash Bandicoot in its success though.

Elsewhere, Bethesda did really well, with three of its games in the Top Five due to promotions: Fallout 4 landed No.3 with sales increasing 27 per cent, Doom grabbed No.4 with a 17 per cent boost in sales and Dishonored 2 settled for No.5 with a 25 per cent sales increase.

Promotions on Battlefield 1 also helped EA's title to get back in the Top Ten, at No.7, with sales increasing 55 per cent.

Meanwhile for Nintendo, Splatoon 2 fell from No.2 to No.6 with sales declining 56 per cent while Miitopia landed No.8 with a 3 per cent boost in sales for its second week on shelves.

Here's the Top Ten for the week ending August 5th:

  1. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy (Activision)
  2. Grand Theft Auto V (Rockstar)
  3. Fallout 4 (Bethesda)
  4. Doom (Bethesda)
