As expected, FIFA is holding up to No.1 for its second week in the charts.

Sales for EA’s football behemoth were down 69 per cent week-on-week, which is actually stronger than FIFA 17’s second week. Last year, Take-Two’s Mafia III released on FIFA 17’s Week Two, pulling sales away from the title. Sales for FIFA 17 were down 79 per cent week-on-week last year.

Sales for FIFA 18 went massively in favour of PS4 last week, with 61 per cent of the copies shifted going to Sony’s console, against 35 per cent on Xbox One.

Debuting at No.2 in the charts this week is Xbox One exclusive Forza Motorsport 7. Microsoft’s Forza Motorsport 6 also entered the charts at No.2 back in 2015. Week One sales for Forza 7 are down 22 per cent compared to its predecessor and down 60 per cent compared to Forza Horizon 7, which charted No.3 this week, thanks to the ongoing good performance of the Xbox One S Forza Horizon 3 Hot Wheels Bundle that came out at the end of September.

There’s another new entry in the Top 10 this week: Warner Bros’ The Lego Ninjago Movie Video game, which landed No.7, a week before the film releases in the UK. As GfK points out, it’s the first Ninjago game to launch on home consoles, as the previous entries released on DS, 3DS or Vita.

Further down the charts, two 3DS titles entered the Top 40: Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser debuted at No.19, while Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy charted No.31.

The last new entry this week is Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen HD, the current-gen version of 2013’s PS3 and 360 title. It debuted at No.39.
