GAME drops Switch price to £259 to celebrate National Video Games Day

By some strange decree, September 12th (today) has been named National Video Games Day, and to celebrate, retailer GAME has dropped the price of the Nintendo Switch to 259 for one day only, making it a great time to pick up the console if you haven’t already done so.

That’s not the only deal on offer over the next 24 hours either, as GAME is also offering a Switch with a copy of Rayman Legends Definitive Edition for 279.99 – which is the regular RRP for the console as a solo purchase.

Destiny fans can also pick up a bargain in the form of the Destiny 2 Collector’s Edition Xbox One bundle, which now costs just 209.99, or the exclusive Glacier White PS4 Pro Destiny 2 plus Uncharted bundle for 349.99.

A number of games have also been discounted, including Overwatch’s Game of the Year Edition (now 29.99), Sniper Elite 4 (also now 29.99), and Horizon Zero Dawn (now just 24.99).

Customers will also get an extra 30 per cent trade-in credit (or 50 per cent for GAME Elite members) on the biggest new titles – and that includes Destiny 2.

What’s more, in-store staff will also be dressing up as their favourite gaming characters, and many stores will be holding mini tournaments throughout the day. Competitions will also be taking place on GAME’s various social media channels.
