Grand Theft Auto V claims its 13th UK No.1

A quiet week of new releases in the UK has allowed Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V to once again capture the top spot in the UK All Formats Top 40.

It’s the 13th time that the game has topped the charts, equalling Zumba Fitness in claiming the joint third most UK No.1’s ever.

Last week’s No.1, Horizon Zero Dawn falls back to eighth place. Nintendo’s Arms fails to take advantage of the decreased competition and slips from second to seventh.

Going the other way is Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands, which jumps from No.14 to No.4 on the back of some retail price promotions. Nintendo’s Mario Kart 8 Deluxe performs a similar feat, jumping from No.16 to No.5. Zelda: Breath of the Wild also climbs (from 22nd to 12th) but misses out on the Top 10.

Codemasters’ Dirt 4 does well to claim second place, its highest chart position thus far, while chart stalwart FIFA 17 is another climber, rising four spots to third.

This week’s highest new entry is 505’s Dead by Daylight, which debuts at No.16. Also entering the listings are Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood in 23rd and Nintendo’s Ever Oasis in 28th.

Here’s the UK Top 10 in full for the week ending June 24th:

1. Grand Theft Auto V (Rockstar)
2. Dirt 4 (Codemasters)
3. FIFA 17 (EA)
4. Ghost Recon: Wildlands (Ubisoft)
