Playdead’s award-winning platformers Limbo and Inside are coming to retail in a special double pack courtesy of 505 Games, the publisher has announced.
The Inside/Limbo Double Pack will arrive on shop shelves later this autumn on PS4 and Xbox One priced at 19.99, says 505. It will land in the US on September 12th, but those in Europe will have to wait an extra couple of days until September 15th before they can get their hands on it. The pack will include both games plus various collector’s items, such as a limited run of posters and art cards.
Limbo was, of course, nominated for several awards when it first released back in 2010, including a string a BAFTA Games Awards, but it was the studio’s next title,Inside, which finally took home the gongs, winning BAFTA’s Best Game Design, Best Artistic Achievement, Best Original Property and Best Narrative awards last year.
Inside began life on Xbox One and PC back in June 2016, but a PS4 release shortly followed last August. This was just after the departure of Playdead’s former co-founder, Dino Patti, who this week announced his new title Somerville, which is being developed in the UK as part of his new studio Jumpship, in partnership with film maker Chris Olson. This isn’t the first time Limbo has come to retail, however, as Merge Games published a special physical version for PC and Mac back in 2012. Inside, however, has only ever received a digital release, making this 505 Games-published double pack the first time the title will be available to buy at retail.
