MCV Awards 2015: GAME celebrates triple victory

GAME took three prizes from the MCV Awards 2015.

The High Street retailer received nods for Games Retailer, Community Team and Buying Team.

It took away the Games Retailer prize for its impressive year, in which it floated on the stock market, made sales of 850m while its Reward Card users hit 4.7m.

Key to its success in the Community Team category was the grown in its social media audience, as well as the events it ran for its passionate fans.

And the firm received the Buying Team award for its work securing exclusive content for the biggest launches last year.

Over 71 companies from across the entire games industry competed closely for recognition in 22 different categories.??

Three brand new special accolades were also up for grabs, going to outstanding individuals recognised as Unsung Hero, Person of the Year and Store Manager of the Year, as well as three inaugural company award categories: Media Team, Agency Team and Independent Games Publisher.??

The partners of this year's event were IGN, Gamescom, Curse, PDP, IGN, Green Man Gaming, Playwire, Respondez, OP, Scanavo, Click Entertainment, A4T and Novobox.
