Overclockers targets streamers with new StreamR PC hardware range

UK PC retailer Overclockers has announced three new PCs that it intends to sell on the strength of their streaming credentials.

The StreamR Elite System can be equipped with a range of Nvidia graphics cards and includes an Intel Core i7-5820K CPU, all of which is plugged into MSI X99S Gaming 9 motherboard. The StreamR Pro System, meanwhile, costs a bit less and incorporates an Intel Core i5-4690.

The XSplit streaming software will be standard with both machines, with the former including a 12-month license and the latter just six months.

Also announced is the StreamR Console. Despite the name it's still a PC (a custom Intel NUC mini PC, in fact), but is designed to capture console gaming footage for streaming, offering the ability to overlay the display with XSplit-style features. This one comes with a three-month license.

Overclockers has also said it is looking to support live streamers and will soon be launching its affiliation program alongside the systems”, too.
