PC support for Xbox One controller confirmed

The Xbox 360 controller is one of the most popular pads used by PC gamers, and Microsoft has now confirmed that the Xbox One controller will also receive PC support.

However, the company has told CVG that PC support for the Xbox One controller will only arrive in 2014, suggesting that a Windows update would be required for it to be compatible.

Microsoft also released a new video yesterday, hosted by Xbox Live’s Larry Major Nelson” Hryb, outlining the new features of the Xbox One controller. The Xbox One controller suposedly boasts of 40 new innovations, and you can find out what they are below.

We had a chance to go hands-on with the controller at E3. Despite being smaller and a lighter than the terrific Xbox 360 controller, it felt more solid and ergonomic. The trigger rumble, in particular, is impressively implemented in games like Forza Motorsport 5.
