Pokemon Bank arrives in Europe at last

Nintendo has released Pokemon Bank in Europe following its festive delay.

The service was originally announced way back in September and was supposed to launch worldwide over Christmas but was delayed following the technical problems that plagued eShop over the period.

It finally arrived in a few Asian territories late last month.

Pokemon Bank allows Pokemon players to store their Pokemon across 100 boxes, each of which can contain 30 creatures. It costs 4.49 a year.

This total of 3,000 Pokemon can then be deposited and withdrawn from copies of Pokemon X and Pokemon Y. It will also be possible for those who played Pokemon Black, White, Black 2 and White 2 to transfer their previously collected monsters into the Bank.
