Soedesco teams up with 1C Company to bring new indie games to retail

Games publisher Soedesco has announced a new partnership with PC publisher 1C Company to bring new indie titles to retail. The first games to receive the boxed treatment are sci-fi platformers Blackhole and Shiny, which will arrive on PS4 and Xbox One in early 2018.

Blackhole, developed by FiolaSoft, and Shiny, developed by Garage 227, are just the first two titles in this partnership, with more games expected in the future.

We’re glad 1C Company has put their trust in our skills," saidHans van Brakel, executive manager at Soedesco. With our expertise in boxed games and their outstanding marketing and public relations support, we think this will be a long-standing cooperation.”

Nikolay Baryshnikov, VP interactive entertainment 1C Company, added: We’re happy to be teaming up with Soesdesco for these two titles, because we realize that there are still players preferring boxed editions of games. We hope this cooperation will continue in the future.”

Blackhole is described as a hardcore sci-fi platformer, and sees the player take on the role of space crew’s coffee guy, who wakes up alone after his ship crash lands on an unidentified object called Entity that resembles a planet. Together with the ship’s sarcastic AI Auriel, players will need to fix the ship and save missing crew members while navigating the traps and puzzles they’ll encounter on this strange world.

Shiny, meanwhile, is a family friendly sci-fi platformer developed by Brazilian studio Garage 227where you play as a robot trying to save his friends before their planet crashes into the sun.

Both titles are currently available to buy on Steam, and Blackhole recently received a digital release on PS4 and Xbox One earlier this month.
