Supergiant’s Bastion sells 3m, Transistor moves 600,000

Supergiant has revealed updated sales figure for both of its critically acclaimed titles, Bastion and Transistor.

Supergiant's debut Bastion has surpassed the 3m sales mark. The game debuted in 2011 on Xbox 360 and PC, and later released on Mac, Linux, iOS and Google Chrome platforms.

Transitor has sold 600,000 copies between Steam and PSN since its launch in May, with the studio stating that the game actually sold at a higher rate than Bastion in the months following launch. Despite the significant disparity in lifetime figures, one could argue it's still early days for Supergiant's sophomore effort.

The game launched on Mac and Linux in October as well, but it's unclear if sales on those platforms are included in the aforementioned figure.

"Word-of-mouth is what kept Bastion going for way, way longer than we could have imagined, and it's what's kept Transistor going strong, too," Supergiant designer Greg Kasavin said on the developer's blog.

Bastion is due to launch on a pair of PlayStation platforms—PS4 and Vita – later this year, while there are currently no official plans to bring Transistor to any additional platforms.
