Wired Productions acquires global distribution rights for Surf World Series

Wired Productions has acquired the global distribution rights to Vision Games Publishing and Climax Studio’s arcade surfing game, Surf World Series.

Wired will also be publishing the PlayStation 4 version of the game at retail. The game is available to buy now digitally on Steam, PS4 and Xbox One, and will release at retail this holiday season.

In Surf World Series, players must compete in arcade-style surfing challenges at five of the world’s most iconic shorelines, including Australia’s Bell Beach and Hawaii’s Waimea Bay.

Leo Zullo, Managing Director, Wired Productions, said: We’re delighted to partner with Vision Games and Climax Studios to globally distribute Surf World Series on PlayStation 4.

It’s one of those rare games that provides instantaneous arcade gratification that will appeal to a wider audience while simultaneously adding a subtle layer of complexity to keep digital surfing perfectionists engrossed.”

Nick Parker, Vision Games Publishing, added: We’re delighted to be able to share Surf World Series with an even wider audience at retail, bringing its action-packed arcade gameplay to more players than ever before. Climax is a developer of some of the most loved games in videogames history, and we’re delighted to bring their work to new games across the world.”
