DreamHack has announced that it will continue its partnership with Twitch for the ninth year running.
The renewed agreement will mean that events and eSports competitions at the computer festival will continue to be streamed on Twitch throughout 2017. This continues the deal established back in 2009 between DreamHack and Twitch’s then parent company, Justin.tv.
“It’s not everyday in this space you renew a partnership entering its 9th year,” said Marcus Lindmark, CEO of DreamHack. “We are proud to continue to partner with Twitch, knowing they are as committed to the development of esports and gaming as DreamHack.”
Next up is DreamHack Austin from April 28th-30th, which will feature tournaments in CS:GO, Hearthstone, StarCraft II, Street Fighter V and Smash Bros. Twitch will provide live coverage of each tournament for free. It will also mark the first time the pair will be working together on Russian coverage of the event.
