Jump Games’ Indian themed titles see Nokia Store success

Several Jump Games releases based on Indian themes and developed specifically for the local market have been downloaded over one million times each on the Nokia Store, the company announced today.

Games such as Border War Face Off, TwistedMachines Moto Madness and T20 Cricket 2012 have each been downloaded over 2 million times. While Border War Face Off is priced at Rs 5, the other two are free downloads.

Jump also revealed that several of its other titles on the Nokia Store have racked up over 1 million downloads each. These include Border War LOC, ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 (pictured) and Chhota Bheem: Save the Ladoos.

For mobile gaming to be popular in India, the story and concepts of the games need to adhere to Indian sensibilities. The high download numbers for our games on the Nokia Store validates our belief,” said Chaitanya Prabhu, business head for Jump Games on the company’s Nokia Store success.

Jump Games has seen a rise in downloads from India’s Tier II and Tier III towns, where feature phones still dominate and Nokia enjoys a strong market share in the category.
