Trilogy falls into administration

Trilogy Logistics has fallen into administration, MCV can reveal – with unconfirmed reports surfacing that Gem has already negotiated a double-quick buyout of the Northamptonshire firm’s assets.

Trilogy has suffered from a difficult year, following the fall-cum-acquisition of exclusive publishing partner Midway.

MCV revealed last week that Ubisoft had ended its exclusive deal with the firm – which came after the collapse of a proposed deal with The Producers.

However, there could be light at the end of the tunnel, MCV understands – with sources informing us that Essex-based Gem is allegedly set to swoop for the company.

That would mean the acquisition of accounts including 505 Games, as well as Trilogy’s Northamptonshire site – and, of course, the rescue of jobs in the tough Christmas period.

Gem refused to comment when contacted by MCV, whilst Trilogy could not be reached at the time of writing.
